It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Albert Lindop, a cherished resident of Belfast, who passed away suddenly on 7th November 2025 after a short illness. Albert’s life was marked by love, devotion, and a profound commitment to his family and community, leaving a legacy of warmth, kindness, and care that will be remembered by all who knew him.

Albert was a much-loved husband to Maureen, a devoted father to Anne, Janice, Rosemary, and John, and a cherished grandfather to Bryan, Marc, Peter, Amy-Rose, Sarah, Victoria, Josie, and Robert. His joy extended to his great-grandchildren Liberty, Phoebe, Austin, Lucie, Jonah, Mia, and Madyson, and he was a treasured great-great-grandfather to Jaxx and Jace. Family was at the heart of Albert’s life, and he devoted himself wholeheartedly to nurturing, supporting, and loving each member with a quiet strength and unwavering commitment.

Beyond his family, Albert touched the lives of countless friends and neighbours. Known for his generosity, gentle nature, and warm sense of humour, he had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcomed and valued. His presence brought comfort and joy, and he leaves behind a community who will forever remember his kindness, wisdom, and the many ways he enriched the lives of those around him.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, 14th November 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Patrick’s Church of Ireland, Newtownards Road, Belfast, BT4 1GZ, followed by committal at Roselawn Cemetery. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and celebrate Albert’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke charity, payable directly in Albert’s memory.

While we mourn Albert’s passing, we also celebrate a life lived with love, integrity, and devotion. His legacy lives on through the generations he nurtured, the friendships he forged, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness.

God has Albert in His keeping, and we hold him forever in our hearts. Though he will be deeply missed, the love, laughter, and memories he leaves behind will continue to inspire and comfort his family, friends, and community. Rest in peace, dear Albert. Your life was a gift, your memory a treasure, and your spirit will remain with us always.
